At Interlake Eastern Health Foundation, we’re grateful for the incredible support of our community partners who help us enhance care and comfort for patients and their loved ones. Today, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Lucci’s for their generous donation of a reclining visitor sleeper chair and new ergonomic chairs for our nursing station at Pinawa Hospital.

Thanks to this donation, family members can now spend more time by their loved ones’ bedsides in greater comfort, offering the reassurance and support that only a loved one can provide. The reclining sleeper chair also allows for better rest and sleep, helping families stay strong—both physically and emotionally—through challenging times.

The new ergonomic chairs at the nursing station are a much-appreciated gift to our hardworking nurses. These chairs not only enhance comfort but also support better posture, helping our nurses focus on delivering the exceptional care they are known for.

This donation exemplifies the full circle of community support that makes initiatives like this possible. As Karen Kost, Executive Director of Mrs. Lucci’s, so beautifully puts it: “We are only able to make these donations as a result of the profits made in our second-hand stores. And the only way that we make money in our stores is because of the wonderful support that we receive from the generous people of our community every day.”
