Pine Falls Health Auxiliary contributes to improvements at Pine Falls Primary Health Care Centre and Traditional Healing Centre
Pine Falls Health Auxiliary’s recent donation of $35,000 will result in some visible difference for patients and staff at Pine Falls Primary Health Care and Giigewigamig Traditional Healing Centre.
Brand new furniture and internet and television services for the waiting room and a blood pressure machine and handheld heart monitor have been purchased for the facility with this donation.
Chair of the auxiliary, Kim Bonekamp, says the volunteers worked hard to purchase these items for the residents of Pine Falls.
“After much anticipation, we are very proud to present this cheque to the new primary health care and traditional healing centre. We would like to thank the volunteers for all the hours they have given over the years along with our community who supported us,” said Bonekamp.
Interlake-Eastern Health Foundation executive director, Pamela McCallum, acknowledged the importance of community giving through this donation.
“Giving back to the community was a primary goal of this donation from the Pine Falls Health Auxiliary,” said McCallum. “We thank them for this very generous donation that will be appreciated by community members and the staff who deliver health care services here.”
