Recently, the Interlake Eastern Health Foundation was gifted $2000.00 from Farm Credit Canada. $1,250.00 of the donation was for the Stonewall Hospital to purchase an isolation cart and $750.00 for the Eriksdale Hospital to purchase a pulse oximeter.

Farm Credit Canada is Canada’s largest agricultural term lender. This organization’s purpose is to enhance rural Canada by providing specialized and personalized financial services to farming operations, including family farms.

Kim Friesen, FCC Relationship Management Associate says that community investment funding is one way that FCC is enriching the communities where we live and work.

“Our projects make positive changes in our communities. In particular we work to reduce hunger, promote farm safety and through Ag education partnerships, we promote agriculture as a vibrant, forward-looking industry. FCC was pleased to partner with the Interlake Eastern Health Foundation to provide funding for medical equipment needs at the Eriksdale and Stonewall hospitals,” says Friesen.

Interlake Eastern Health Foundation executive director, Pamela McCallum says the additional equipment will impact patients and staff in a positive way.

“The addition of much-needed equipment in Stonewall and Eriksdale will increase efficiency when caring for multiple patients within the facilities. We are honoured to partner with the Arborg FCC office on these donations which will enhance patient care in our region,” says McCallum.
