Kinette Club of Stonewall support Stonewall & District Health Centre
We are thrilled to express our gratitude to the Stonewall Kinettes for their support! Last week, during their meeting, the Kinettes presented a generous donation of $1596.00 to IEHF which will directly impact patients at Stonewall & District Health Centre. The funds will be utilized to procure 2 wheelchair cushions, 2 Spanco bed cushions, and a tub sling. These items are not just supplies; they represent comfort, dignity, and improved quality of care for patients.
What makes this gesture even more special is the thoughtful approach taken by the Kinettes in selecting the items they wanted their donation to purchase. The Kinettes carefully reviewed a list of high-priority needs for the hospital and drawing upon the expertise of a retired nurse within their ranks, wanted to understand the purpose of each and how it would directly benefit patients. Their dedication to understanding the needs of the community and their commitment to making a tangible difference are truly commendable.
Kim Minnis, Manager of Health Services at the Stonewall & District Health Centre, aptly captures the significance of such community support. She acknowledges that while there are always more needs than funding, contributions like those from the Kinettes significantly enhance the hospital experience for patients. “Their generosity embodies the spirit of compassion and community that strengthens our community’s healthcare system.”
It is through the generosity and dedication of community that we continue to improve health and health care. Thank you for supporting care and community!
