The board of directors of Interlake Eastern Health Foundation (IEHF) is excited to announce the launch of their new strategic plan, “Supporting Care and Community – The Path Forward”.

Brent Wynnyk, Chair of the IEHF Board of directors shared insights into the plan emphasizing the foundation’s dedication to innovation. “Our vision is for equitable access to care close to home and enhanced quality of life for all residents, this plan reflects the commitment of the IEHF to meeting the evolving needs of the communities that it serves.” says Wynnyk.

Key Highlights:

• The mission statement highlights IEHF’s commitment to advancing community health and well-being through collaboration with stakeholders.
• Core values include community care, genuine partnerships, kindness, and compassion, and aligning with the strategic goals of regional partners.
• Strategic priorities focus on investing in equipment, facility improvements, and programs; supporting projects for better health outcomes and reduced disparities; and enhancing recruitment, retention, recognition, and training of staff and physicians.

The IEHF’s strategy for achieving these priorities is a multifaceted approach, including fundraising initiatives, increased awareness, and improved processes.

Averill Stephenson, IEHF Executive Director, expresses enthusiasm for the plan’s implementation and highlights the Foundation’s dedication to working collaboratively with stakeholders. “We look forward to enhancing our relationships in communities and working together to find innovative ways for our communities to become happier and healthier.”
