Selkirk & District Community Foundation supports IEHF at ‘I Care About a Cause’ event
Selkirk & District Community Foundation recently hosted an event at Selkirk Regional Health Centre that brought together donors and recipients of SDCF funds and grants.
The event provided the opportunity for donors to hear about the impact of their donations and for recipients to share stories.
Jean Oliver presented 3 cheques totaling $66,573 to the Interlake Eastern Health Foundation. These funds are grants from funds held at SDCF – the Selkirk Hospital Fund, Palliative Care Fund, and Amma’s bookshelf.
“These generous grants continue to will enhance patient care, supporting highest priority purchases for equipment at Selkirk Regional Health Centre including a patient lift for the ER, visitor recliner chairs for Palliative Care and more” says Averill Stephenson, Executive Director IEHF. “We are so grateful for the donors – past and present – to these funds and the continued partnership of Selkirk and District Community Foundation”.
Ted Lewis, past chair of IEHF was inspired by the event “I enjoyed the evening and listening to the panel members stories. Thank you to everyone” says Lewis.
